Thinking of switching employers. Do you think bigger retail stores (the ones that have several locations) are easier or harder to work at than little hole-in-the-wall grocery stores (which is all I've ever done)? It seems like the larger chain stores would have more downtime, but I'm wondering if anyone could give some input.

Is it just me or with the rise of attacks on "essential workers", it's scary nowadays to work a public-facing job? I've seen so many videos of workers getting attacked for doing their job, some of them have even lost their lives.

I had rented my condo to an unpleasant “condo maintenance company” as my tenant. Had to end the lease prematurely, a lot of trouble. I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into copywriting as something to soon the side but I have no experience doing it. What steps should I take (books to read, gigs to start with or pursue, etc) if I want to go from $0 and next to ) experience to $40k or so a year?

Right now I’m currently unemployed and taking a break from my fine art stuff to try to get back into tech sales, but I was looking to expand my skill set and also generate extra money at the same time.

Does it look bad in my resume to resign after less than a year at a job? writing here the time I’ve spent at each company since graduating college:
- 2 years at company 1 (resigned to move back to home country)
- 2 years at company 2 (resigned and moved back to the US)
- went back to company 1 (it had grown exponentially after 2 years so came back at higher position) (resigned after 1 year to join a startup at director level)
- 6 months at startup and I want to quit with nothing lined up
