Not a current clerk but friend of mine said her judge suggested responding like this:
1) worked on confidential matter with judge
2) worked on confidential matter with judge
3) worked on confidential matter with judge
4) worked on confidential matter with judge
5) worked on confidential matter with judge
We are not responding. Plus, everything we do is confidential! I assume we will get an email on Monday from IT saying don’t respond — that’s what happened when we got the “test” email and when there was news of fork in the road, got messages from district and circuit (4th)
Yes I can’t imagine any form of substantive reply that wouldn’t violate our code of ethics
I’m a federal clerk and didn’t get this…you did?
