What do you say when you’re emailing a referral for the first time to reach out to them? I don’t know what to say and I don’t want to write anything stupid or put them off by saying the wrong thing!

I call... but if there’s no phone number, and you send an email, don’t overthink it... make it simple. “Hi XXX, your friend XXX said that you have some questions for me. I’m looking forward to meeting with you. What is your phone Numbers so we I can give you a buzz to set up a time to get together?"

Introduce yourself (include a bio if you have one) and ask for a phone number and best time to call. Keep it short and sweet
