What is the optimal SIE study plan using only free resources? My firm won't pay for them before I start but I want to get SIE out of the way.

Can buy knopman marks and just submit the expense once you join

like

No they told me that they will not reimburse. I'm asking how to best do it without using paid resources.

Maybe 1 week? But i used Knopman

Pay for knopman. Kinda weird your firm won’t pay for it

Agreed. Very strange.

Alternatively, can anyone confirm that what they are telling me is just straight up wrong? I'm going to GS as a lateral (non-banking background but joining IB). Very hard to believe they won't reimburse SIE-related costs but that's what they said!

Why don’t you just wait until you start? Sie is a fairly easy exam even without a banking background. Series 79 is harder and that’s where you’ll need to actually study

Wait why is your firm not paying for it?

See above. They said the policy is to not pay or reimburse anything incurred prior to starting.

Why would GS pay for study material when you aren’t even working there yet? SIE doesn’t require a firm to sponsor the exam.
Found this in my first google search of free sie study materials
