How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

I broke my foot a few weeks ago and sitting at my desk in a cast is incredibly uncomfortable still. But, the work I do can’t really be done from the couch as there is too much paperwork involved that I prefer to physically spread out. I am a true solo. So, I am my only accountability. Taking Concerta in the AM doesn’t give me enough coverage for the whole day. I take it the moment my alarm goes off in the morning at (usually) 6am. Which is great for my morning, but by 3pm I’m starting to fray apart, bouncing around between tasks and getting progressively more distractible and demotivated.

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.
