What is the typical number of hours for a private equity accounting manager/controller in NYC? is it true that 50-55 hours all year round is normal?

How do you split income/expenses with your spouse? Wife earns about 75% as much as me. Don’t have kids yet. Do you have a joint account for everything or do you split common expenses 50-50 or in proportion to income? Something else? This has caused some contention so want to benchmark. Thanks!
