What laptop would you recommend to someone who needs to use it for work 8 hrs a day? Not a heavy designer or gamer. Longevity, speed, efficiency etc is what I am looking for.TIA !

I only use Mac, unless I need an Nvidia chipset. The other remaining use case is if you spend your day in Microsoft Office, it’s better on PC. Everything else is better on Mac. It’s not even close.

It’s really not a hard transition. Command instead of control is about 25% of the transition, gestures on the mouse, for the most part everything is where you’d expect. I’m so bias that I actually think much less of a company if they hand me a PC. I immediately assume my hotel stays will be Motel 6.

Scheduling added another S3 (my level) to my engagement but acting as a manager, while I’ve been on this engagement for a few years and getting great reviews. My ego is shot and I’m insulted. Advice?

One of my friend is having 1 offer in hand and she has signed offer letter with agreement for joining that company only and not to accept any offer from any other company ( even hike from current company ), what will happen if she deny to join that company? In agreement it describes that if candidate joins or accepts another offer then candidate will have to pay two salaries as per the offer letter.

I currently work as a Contracted Software Engineer and I’m set to finish my contracted time at the end of October. I definitely could use the extra paycheck to help out with my financial obligations. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

Currently stuck in risk but interested in Cyber. Have done one related engagement from a regulatory perspective. But a lot of posts here making me think it’s harder to break into than I expected (non-technical background). If you had a six sigma green belt / supply chain degree/exp., would you still go through the effort of going into Cyber or take easy risk money being offered / easier transition back to supply chain? 2-3 YOE and trying to decide career course, any advice highly appreciated

As more and more companies institute a work from home policy, I think it will gradually become the norm. As a 28 year old man who wants to settle down soon, which city would you recommend I look into, assuming me and my partner can work from home? I work in Cybersecurity so would prefer to be closer to the jobs in my field without having to live in the same city.

Hey Cyber friends! I’m a life long professional creative looking to get out. I’m fascinated by Cybersec/Infosec and have been learning a small amount. Tryhackme + YouTube + beginning to learn some python. However, I’m well aware that these baby steps don’t compare to the real job.

My questions: do you like what you do? Would you recommend the field or your discipline to a friend? What is the best and worst part of your job? Grateful for any and all responses. Thanks for letting me lurk! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
