I joined KPMG a while ago from federal consulting. Federal consulting had super good work life balance but I’ve been working at KPMG strategy for a while now. If one Organization HR told me we will blacklist you. So I want to know exactly they can do blacklist or just showing fear of Blacklist ?

Actually I had one offer of 13 lacs my company retained me with 14 lacs, I didn't want to Re negotiate with that Organization because of Loyalty issue with current organization. So That Company HR scold on me and told me we will blacklist you.

Hello All - I struggle with time management. I take medication but I have no idea whether a task will take 40 mins or 4 hours. Because of this, I over commit and under deliver. Also, having been on the receiving end of criticism, over time I have developed a perfectionist streak. I won't turn it in if it is good enough. How do you break out of this habit?

How does NY (or any other states that tax income) enforce taxes on nonresidents? Assume the taxpayer does not file state return with NY and does not have NY on W2.

Seems NY would have no way of targeting said taxpayer for audit. Thoughts?

Any big four hiring for indirect tax ?

New Jersey partnership question.

Partnerships need to use market sourcing for purposes of calculating NR withholding tax (though NJ doesn't even call this withholding anymore).

However, for purposes of calculating the NJ distributive share of income, you apply Gross Income Tax (personal income tax) rules, which is 3 factor and includes COP.

If I end up with 0% apportionment under GIT and 10% apportionment under CBT (withholding tax), the partnership pays tax upfront but NRs get 100% refund?

I was paid a retention bonus last year which I have to return - couple of questions: Will I get a corrected W2 ? If yes, how much time does it generally to generate a corrected W2? Should I wait for corrected W2 to file the return ? (with the current comp - I owe taxes however with the W2C - I will probably not..) thoughts??

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?
Or do I need to file Married Seperately?

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA.
