Haha that’s funny. But I want a Tesla
Rising Star
Buy literally any other EV.
Rising Star
That's because they track your driving behavior. GPS, speed, frequency of use, where you go, etc.
Low mileage - so you got some life for the warranty. I’d recommend 2023 and 2022 as the very max
AMD Chip - I believe later half 2022 models have these and onward
FSD - someone may have purchased FSD completely on that vehicle which is around 8K so that would be a huge plus

Thanks! Do you think long range worth the extra $$? And also is FSD the same as autopilot?
Why you going used? The financing deal they got going on is great
First off, nowhere did I disagree that mathematically it makes more sense to purchase used. I simply suggested exploring the deals they have going on. Especially with the federal tax credit but unfortunately they’ve stated they do not qualify for that.
Secondly, you’re assuming that there is a zero chance this decision to purchase a used Tesla is not emotional. They already put an emotional decision buy wanting to purchase a Tesla, if it weren’t then they’d go with any other EV that made financial sense because there are definitely other EVs out there for much cheaper and better value.
Thirdly, when making an emotional decision there’s always a number spread that the purchaser is comfortable with saying “You know what, I know I’ll be paying X amount over but this is worth the piece of mind going brand new without risking previous driver habits” especially when there is factory warranty.
For example, as of June 2024 teslas come with 4-year/50k bumper to bumper warranty while the drive unit is 8-year/100-150K miles.

I don’t qualify for EV credit
Ah. Just saw this response. Yeah, used is probably the best move then.
Battery health
There is literally no other issue with teslas. There is no ice engine so there is no maintenance whatsoever….no fan belts, no headers, no spark plugs, no oil, nothing. Everything is about the battery health
