What to do? Just got laid off suddenly, told my position was eliminated, which was a made up reason. My micro-manager of 9 months loved me, gave me great feedback & reviews & said she would promote me. Then turned on my suddenly after I said one wrong thing. She has a pattern of getting rid of people or driving them out by belittling them. Should I just keep my mouth shut or call my friends in high places in the company and tell them she's toxic? And what to say at the HR exit interview? Help!

Got my MBB offer as an Exp Hire! A few insights from my case prep. I practiced ~10 cases solo using Case Coach videos. I'd watch the interviewer speak, pause the video, practice (speak out loud, ask questions, explain my approach, even time myself), then play to see what the candidate did, and evaluate myself for gaps.

I also learned the evaluation criteria and internalized the generic case frameworks.

Still WFH? What are other chambers doing for task management? Our chambers has been keeping up with assignments, incoming emails needing judge’s eyes, and written orders, all through Microsoft Planner. We share PDFs through Sharepoint folders. Although we still email draft orders back and forth, the system seems to work well enough. We still aren’t operating at our previous capacity because it takes 10x the number of steps to get a motion heard or an order entered—90% of our workload.
