Toxic manager
Only once have I ever worked with somebody who made me walk out of a job and never come back. They were incredibly demeaning, would pick apart everything constantly, to the point where I couldn’t take it.
Wasn’t just a one-time deal. This was day after day until I hit that breaking point. I don’t think many could put up with it. They ended up leaving that job not long after, but the damage had been done with many of us who were there for it.
Disrespect, belittling or threatening me. Especially if done in front of others.
Pro
Good point.
People quit people not jobs! Most people are willing to take leas salary for a happy work environment in my opinion.
When your company’s values no longer align with your own.
It is definitely a tricky one. If some are unprofessional and giving you pressure to quit, then I guess be a smarty and look for better jobs and then quit. Because if you stay and are resilient, if some toxic narcissist personality traits still want you to go, they will do everything in their power to see this through by dismissing or plotting against you even if you don’t quit. I personally have experienced this. However till the end I didn’t want to quit. If you loose your job, you should be prepared for facing some sort of isolation and a routine. However you should plan your life in such a way that you outbeat what is being imposed on you by being highly disciplined like wake up, do things that motivate you, go to a local library daily, search for jobs, read course related books and personality development books, meet up with friends when they are able to, take a solo trip to the beach or nearby town, Ofcourse listen to your favourite music , movies and shows. Believe in creativity; personally I have a TikTok account so I would be preparing content in between and just believe in timing as it’s true . No matter how fast you want to be working, your next job and role will only align at a certain timing so you need to be mentally and spiritually prepared for this. Whatever happens, in your mind and spirit, never be a quitter and in midst of all the confusion, just be grateful for whatever you can be as no two days are the same :) and there is something special atleast onething different about each day.
Dealing with targeted harassment out of jealousy, envy, etc… Had an HR manager harass the daylights out of me at every chance they could. As far as Pulling IT records of screen time etc… I later found out after she was let go that she would constantly gossip about how it was stupid that I cared so much about fitness and bodybuilding. I did my job perfect so there was never any documented performance issues. True story. After that, the next thing that happened with anyone, I told myself I was out the door that same day.
