CAIA vs CFA?
Hi everyone, I am 4.9 years experienced , I joined Fractal 3 months ago as a data engineer, but still haven't got any project. Process is so slow that I have received only 4 to 5 project calls. I switched in hopes that will learn the new tech and tools. But now i am starting to forget even the one i knew. Should i go for change or wait a little more time as fractal is reputed in AI/ML? I have interview lined up with Impetus as for now. Would it be better choice?

I’m gonna go with money
99% of us are in it for the money. The question made me chuckle
.
Pro
At the time it was all I had to choose from. Eventually I got to be pickier and pickier as I moved up the ranks. Very happy where I'm at right now. Wouldn't be where I was today if not for those previous experiences (good and bad). Also a lot of credit to my parents. Not in picking my career per se, but helping me throughout my life to help me get to where I am now.
I saw myself as a PowerPoint Poet; a genius at jargon; and I had the god-given gift of ignorance that I knew would take me places…
Some misinformed notion of it being my passion
I used to work in education. I wanted to stop shopping at Dollar General for food. 😬
I completely agree! Teachers have hard jobs for low pay and I have so much respect for their commitment.
I was not a teacher, but an admissions counselor at an elite private college. The kids were very, very wealthy and I was making $25k > a year in 2015 without benefits. I never wanted to be in that spot again.
A headhunter that convinced me that I would pick technology up. That was in 2001 and I am forever grateful for her confidence in me.
Programming was my hobby
My love for learning code started as a kid when I would design my myspace. So i'd say that lol
Job stability
I'm at the start of my career and went with the first position I was offered. Got an offer closer to home and probably going to take it
💸
First career: passion and love for art and tech.
Current career change: love for tech but mostly stability and money to pay off debt from first career.
Mistakes were made.

The salary
I wanted better WLB and flexibility to work remote more than anything.
I'm a database developer and went into my career first as an application developer. "Developer" is the main reason. I love to problem-solve and build solutions and am strangely obsessed with corralling data in RDMS. Also, I knew I'd always be learning, so hopefully would not be bored. Sadly, most companies *talk* about constant improvement and importance of data, but rarely practice a disciplined or educated methodology!
