What's a saving strategy that has helped you build up your account? I've decided this is the year I stop living paycheck to paycheck. I can't figure out how to get started because there aren't any huge expenses I can cut down on, that are obvious to me. Would love to hear how everyone else treats their income and expenses to get some ideas.

Get a Costco membership, cut subscriptions, eat at home. Also look into bank sign up bonuses. A lot of them will give you $200-$300 for opening an account and setting up direct deposit for a few months. Once you hit the requirements, take the bonus, close the account and move on to the next one. Your payroll department might hate you for the constant account changes, but it's a zero effort way to get a little more cash coming in. Might as well.

I invest a little bit here and there into stocks that pay frequent dividends. There are a lot of decent options for that, but it's a slow game and requires patience.

Right now I would say the most aggressive expenses is food and rent.

First off, are there any subscriptions you can cancel? They seem like small numbers but they definitely add up.

If you have a saving account transfer it to a high yield saving account. The interest on the account can generate more money. You can also put your money into stock, index funds account, or a brokerage account. One of my friend has been doing this for a year and generates a lot of money but she did put a lot of money in the account.

Pay yourself first. Even $10 a paycheck. Put that money away BEFORE doing anything else. THEN pay your necessary expenses. Then discrencary spending. Then, in the unlikely event you have anything left, put that away, as well.

You need to cut where you can, but cutting back on everything is a recipe for disaster. Make sure you have a little bit for fun, after paying necessities. And absolutely, pay yourself first.

Learn to cook, cut subscriptions and slowly invest in physical media. Cut back on your phone bill.

It's unfair that we have to cut little luxuries because we all work so hard, but these are small expenses that will slowly snowball into savings for you

I have significant equity in a property (300k+) and maybe another 200k across other properties. I have a decent amount of money in cash and already 200k or so in stocks. Would you consider pulling money through cash out refi and using it? I get nervous for stocks being so high. I have a few properties in pipeline already. How would you suggest using it (if at all).

BCG versus McK for digital consulting? If we are looking broadly at the digital transformation space, then what are some of the strengths of each of firm as well as any glaring drawbacks?

Looking at Forrester, they are both leaders in the space, but it would be helpful to understand the perception of each.
