What impact has the prestige of your school had on your career?

Has anyone left a corporate job to chase a personal/passion project before their MBA? Would it ruin an MBA application if I left prior to the app process? Or Would it be best to just do once an acceptance is secured (with some time lost of course) ?

I am in need of some advice I have a bachelors in healthcare administration. My long term goal would be a CEO of a hospital. I am looking at masters programs and need some advice as what to get my masters in. Do you think culinary school is worth it? I've been a waiter for a year but really want to be a chef. The people I work with say to just start in the kitchen and work my way up but I think culinary school might get me where I want to be faster. The cost is pretty insane though. Any advice?

I was at a conference for PLC 2.0 this summer, some great speakers and ideas. Graduate credit was available also through Midwest Teachers Institute, and they were really affordable.

I only applied and was accepted to one deferred MBA program (Darden) my senior year. It comes with a $30k scholarship, but at this point I only find an MBA to be worth it if it’s mostly covered. I have a 710 gmat that’s good for a couple more years, is it worth retaking to see if I could be eligible for more scholarships? At that point, should I just apply to more schools if I retake?

I am currently working as a Data Science Analyst in Amex and would like to make a switch to Fraud detection/Credit risk modelling in future.(not in a hurry but would like to start preparing for the same)
How should I go about preparing for it? Is MBA the only course?
My current tech stack is Python, Pyspark, Hive, SQL, ML, DL(specifically NLP based). I have already done MS in CS from IIT Kgp.
I am confused mainly cause the tech stack requirement is similar to my role in the company.

Do you all see a compelling future in your tax career? I’ll go first, I don’t see a compelling future working for a large PA firm in the long run because you have to work more as you move up. However, I do see a compelling future by using my knowledge and skills to open my own firm/business and work less hours as long as I make enough money which is $75k, or if I do work long hours, it’s because I want to.
