Being courted by a recruiter for a senior product designer role. I made it very clear that remote work was non-negotiable in the initial phone screening.

They want to proceed with a video interview but it’s “recommended to join the team in office occasionally and work on-site in the beginning and go from there.”

I politely withdrew and they said the VP reconsidered because it’s been difficult to get people in the office - so I would be fully remote.

Anybody work for Reliant Rehab? We’re in the mid-Atlantic region and our COTAs were told Friday they are getting 9% pay cuts. I’m fairly new with Reliant and I can’t help but feel deflated that this is how employees are treated given the environment. I heard 4% pay cuts last year too. Is this happening in other rehabs?

I work in clinical research and I’m under consideration to work for another research facility; however I hesitate because it’s a consulting position that can turn to permanent. It’s a huge pay increase (8-10 more) with benefits, PTO, etc. Any thoughts about consulting or temp-to-permanent jobs?

PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued. (Cont’d)

Personally I practice out patient ortho in Rochester, NY making $65,000 annually with a good benefit package. 6 years of exp. And not entirely sure how much more I could make in home care/other settings.
