Here things will remain balanced mostly and there's no need to fear . Not all companies do layoff at the same time. You may end up getting a 100% hike too. Housecleaning services?
I’m in midtown west and need a new housecleaner. Looking to pay $100/cleaning. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who is trustworthy and reliable? I would also need them to do laundry (laundry is one floor above and below me - every other floor in my building).

Explain to me like I’m 5. Why does the monthly billable hours goal on things like Intellistat change month to month. I’m not hitting hours this year. Last month goal was 158. This months goal is 180.

Why do firms fire people with low but still profitable hours? I am in my first full year on track for pretty low hours (~1500) but the actual realized fees (after writedowns) are still double my yearly salary. Litigators—how many different cases are you on?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

Associates, do you want to be copied on emails to service providers/vendors (like CSC, CT, etc)? My thought is you get a billion emails everyday and don’t need more, but maybe I’m wrong?
