What’s the best way to deal with a coworker who’s friendly to your face but constantly throws you under the bus? My coworker is always nice and friendly to me but I just found out that he has been taking credit for some of the work I’ve done and tells other colleagues that I don’t contribute as much as I should.

Welcome to corporate America!

Document everything. Emails, project files, whatever you have that shows your contributions. Don't escalate unless you have to, but if you do, it's always good to have receipts.

Great tip—definitely make sure to document everything

It’s just corporate nonsense. I’ll call them out politely so they aware you are.

It’s sad but that’s the reality everywhere

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Closing in on a corp dev offer. I work at a boutique (~10 ppl) where the analysts/associates carry a lot of weight during deals. What is the longest i could push my potential start date back to for this new role? I don’t wanna leave while i’m in the middle of a bunch of things and screw over my current firm. They’ve been good to me

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

Does anybody know what the typical salary range is and total comp for someone starting out as an internal or external wholesaler? If you are one of these, can you share about your experience in terms of whether you liked it or not, work life balance, travel, etc?

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.
