When I worked at a thrift store, there was a man who often came by to shop for clothes. Every time, he’d compliment my outfit and say how much he admired my dressing sense. He was genuinely one of the nicest customers I’ve met. It’s been over 4–5 years now, and I still remember his face clearly. Good customers truly leave a mark.

Someone came in and ordered 60 bacon double cheeseburgers… my crew thought I was kidding. 😅

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any
