State Farm has some good stuff.
You didn’t enjoy “Like a Good Neighbaaah”? Another agency does all those KC Chiefs ads, like “Mahomes & MaAuto”.
Tubi spots I saw on football were pretty funny. The Progressive work is always good, far better than most of the stuff you see outside ad bubbles.
The only good work is being done by high Dive
Honestly OP I can't even think of one that has stuck with me recently. I agree with you that it seems like they are all just kind of meh. I wish I had good example to give you but nothing is really great these days.
It's funny, just the question really puts me on the spot, I have trouble coming up with anything. The ads that make the most impression on me lately are those that are just annoying. I think we're in a bad patch where ads are trying to be like social media posts and it has just led to a creative nadir.
I watch sports and food network… so lots of ads.
Good- BK (the jingle is good, fight me). Progressive. WNBA. Carmax.
Bad and never want to see again - screaming miller lite ad, the stupid emu/doug spots. Really anything with dad bod blonde dudes with mustaches (it stands out to me that there are a lot of those)
Agency parking lot, 3:30
Meh perfectly describes the writing and gif in this post. You know your meh.
Fansville ads are always good. They really know their audience, which is unfortunately rare for sports themed commercials.

There was this one with a couple of old ladies looking at a hamburger. One was confused about how little meat there was on it. The tagline escapes me at the moment, but it was something about “why is the bun so big?”
I kind of think Advertising is just like Hollywood. We make ads for the pretentious (Cannes / Oscars) and it's often ads no one has ever seen except people In the ad world. If I gave my non ad friends 3 gold Cannes winner, they'd be like "never seen it." Then we make mainstream ads that clients love to make, after butchering something actually good. Sometimes work can be good, but I think that's if the brand has a funny enough tone of voice to do what they want.
The Orbit ads are still my favorite
