Does dealing with USCIS put anybody else into a state of depression?

Without fail everyday around 4pm I encounter low-grade depression. This has been ongoing for years and I've tried to combat it through making plans, exercising etc... Anyone else experience this and found healthy solutions?

Salam, Ramadan Mubarak! Anyone trying to maintain some level of strength training during Ramadan? I know it’s ideal to lift after iftar (maybe after dates/water + magrib and before dinner) but wonder if it is doable to squeeze in a 30-40 min training session right before iftar (for time saving purposes)?

I got out of my water drinking habit and finding it hard to build back up to 100oz + per day. I don’t like the fact I’ve added in drinks with fake sweeteners to get more fluid intake. What do you all drink to supplement water that is better than some artificially flavored and/or colored beverage? I feel nothing exists and I just need to get back to my water habit. Maybe any good water bottles that help you drink more?

I’ve made it 5+ years in a NY M&A practice and have consistent exceeding expectations reviews. I’ve had a few mental breakdowns because of work during this time, but thankfully made it through. I’ve been in a near constant depressive/anxious state for family reasons for the last year and half, and am soon having my first kid. I’m scared shitless that I’ll spiral out of control both at work and at home if something doesn’t change soon. Any suggestions on how to keep this job and keep it together?

My plan moving forward is to only focus on the top revenue driving product launches for now and say “no” to basically everything else. My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback. Any tips? Just need to get through it! HR people are not immune!

I just put in my notice at my company for a new job that only cleared level 1 wages (and certainly wouldn’t clear whatever 45th percentile is). Haven’t filed the transfer yet. How screwed am I? Should I ask my new job to file the transfer without premium processing in the hopes that the new DOL wage rule gets struck down by the time my transfer is processed?
