When is the good time to tell the company that I am 3 months pregnant. My date of joining is 18th of July. I understand by law I need to finish 80days with the company before I avail maternity benefits which I can easily do in next 3 months.
I want to understand if women who go on maternity leave during probation are treated differently or if there will be discrimination once I let them know about my situation. Wipro Accenture Allstate Quantiphi analytics pvt ltd.

I worked harder and faster and left at 6pm come hell or high water. I got better at my job, actually.

Block off your calendar for things like pumping (If you plan to do that) and leaving for pickup. Set the expectations early and reinforce them so everyone respects those blocks. I also found the less sheepish I was about talking about pumping and just said out loud what I was going to do, the less push back I got.
I got this advice from another mom - never apologize for leaving when you need to.
Similar to above. I work from home on Fridays and leave every day by 5 to pick my kiddo up from daycare. My team knows that from 5-8, I’m pretty much unavailable unless you text me because I’m spending time with my kiddo. I also noticed I’m better at assessing what’s important. Before I would respond to every email immediately and now if I’m at home I’ll check real quick and if it can wait until the morning, I’ll ignore it.
Try to be as efficient as possible. Get stuff done then get home.
I negotiated a consolidated schedule after my first, 4 days a week, but still 40+ hours. I had an established reputation with leadership, strong team and good relationship with my clients, and I was willing to switch my schedule around and be accessible on my "days off," so it worked. After my second mat leave, I came back part-time, 3-days per week. It's good for my family, but hard work-wise. I still have to stay connected, or else I spend a whole day of my time in the office catching up, and moving my schedule around for important meetings and such is a bit if a headache, too.
I got demoted from a team lead to building kids crafts for social posts. But then I started leaving at 5:00...
I become a much more efficient producer. Learned to focus on the right things. I also gave clear boundaries on when I was and wasn’t avail or if I was working from home. I also walk up early these days and get a lot of work done in the mornings to to help offset me leaving early to be with my child. To repeat someone’s post above - never feel bad for leaving or taking care of your family when you need to. You already have mom guilt from working as it is. Don’t let others add to that. The work always gets done.
