I’m no AI doomsayer by any stretch but I promise this is the wrong time to become a VO artist

Become an assistant editor at a post house so that you get pulled in for scratch VOs. Or, if you have an in-house studio at your agency, let your fellow creatives know you are willing to do scratch VOs. It’s a long shot, but it’s entirely possible that eventually a client will fall in love with your scratch read and you’ll get hired instead of some VO actor from the outside. And really, if the creatives know they just have to push a little to get you hired rather than listen to 500 demos…the math is not that hard.
I know actors and I know agency people, and in the last 15 years I’ve seen more paid VO gigs go to Stephanie from the account team than to Jill who took a bunch of classes, got an agent and put together a demo.
Which sucks for my actor friends but might work out well for you.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Yikes. Unless you are a sag actor I’d look into audio engineering with AI.
