No one cares about ads. No one's thinking about ads. Don't assume the millions of people who will see these will pay attention/care/do the math/ have the same sentiments as you.
Yes, the internet which is 99.99% of the people being marketed too. Everyone that sees this ad is laughing.
The brains behind it probably thought this play on words would have a different effect. Maybe the jaguar people thought the same about that campaign.

Exactly, we get it lol but this is an example of trying to be too clever or relevant… you can’t just say “the general public” is why advertising sucks now…. That’s your audience and that’s whose made t us go viral in a negative light.
I spent the proper 5 seconds seeing the images, came away with a positive feeling, and moved on.

The general population who sees this ad doesn’t share your sense of this being smart. It’s getting ripped apart.

Been wondering the same thing, that’s a wild overlook by agency and client, like I get it… but that’s not it.
