At a good T2 company with decent comp and WLB, well recognized in my country. However, i am mostly staffed on projects i don't really like (Implementation, ERP etc). Been here for 1y and 9 months.

Have gotten an offer from a small agency to do innovation and strat work, which i like better. Offer same TC, although progression is slower.

Plot twist: I am having a kid in january, and current employer offers 6 months leave with full pay.

What would you do?

So I’ve been wanting to leave my current employer for quite some time (a number of reasons). The one problem is that I’m still under a tuition repayment agreement with my employer, meaning that if I leave before September of this year I have to pay it back (about 50K). I want to ask my HR rep if this repayment agreement can be prorated since there is 6 months left. Current comp - 106k base, very happy with my project/team. On track for promo next year. Great WLB (it took a while to get here).

New company - lateral move, 130k base, 15k sign on bonus.

The only reason for me to jump right now would be because of the base pay. I feel like I'm leaving a lot of money on the table with that 24k base pay gap. That's a mortgage for me. Main concern is that I'm scared of risking my WLB.
