Heyhey.
Looking to hire a product UX/designer to freelance and help design + run ideation workshops for our Fortune 100 client looking to drive innovation and create/incubate b2c apps.
Would be great if you also knew how to set up an intake form to get a specific brief in order to design the workshop.
Bonus if you know how to design and set-up early stage usability experiments via landing pages/figma to validate problems/solutions before developing a MVP.

That seems low. I wouldn’t take less than $60/hr if I were you.
Agree, $40 is low. Depending on the location and the company, I would aim for $60-100 hourly.
Also, consider if you’re under a 1099 or a W2. 1099 means you’re paying a lot more in taxes, so your hourly rate should be higher as well.
It's v low but it's a job in the time of Rona. Take it.
I would go higher. That sounds more junior level contracting rate, especially if you have big agency experience. I have about the same YoE as you and I would ask $100+ because of 1099
Btw my general rule of thumb is to find my 1099 hourly rate by taking my annual salary and dividing by 1000. Not always palatable for clients but depends on leverage i guess
A project rate instead?
Very low. I'm currently the same (5 years) and I've been asking $70/hr.
Thank you for the feedback. An update… my rate jumped to $75! And the freelancing engagement went super well!
Thanks all. Haven’t freelanced in a while but upped my rate way over 40. Thank you for the feedback! Really appreciate it, don’t want to undersell myself.
If you are willing to relocate for a FT role and/or happen to live in the southeastern US, I might be able to help... DM me your portfolio. Looking for system design experience with a focus on e-commerce ux/ui design.
