Why are so many “finance” roles just glorified data entry now? I’m applying for analyst positions, and half of them are pulling reports and pasting numbers into templates. I'd like to hold out for something with actual strategy involved, but starting to think I just need to take what I can get.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus.
