Why did republicans attempt to disenfranchise voters in certain states, then storm the capitol in an attempt to “hang Mike Pence” et. al., then build a false narrative that it either wasn’t a big deal, was a false flag operation, or that it was somehow good for democracy? Why do republican politicians refuse to investigate or even talk about it?

Most importantly, why do democrats allow them to distract from it?
