Why do recruiters think mentioning that a company is “PE backed” a selling point? Seriously can someone explain that lol

What do you think?

Lol

It’s an adjective used to provide context on the company stage and reporting environment. It’s like saying PubCo or family owned.

It can be both a selling point and a turnoff. It can provide accelerated progression at the expense of worse WLB.

like

PE backed in many cases allows you to put your hand up to take on more work and grow faster at a junior level.

PE backed also means bonus pay on liquidation events at higher levels.

As someone who has worked F50 and PE, I like PE better.

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice with regards to my next career step. Currently in audit and I have opportunities to go for a Valuations role or an FDD role (both big 4). What are the pros and cons of each? (hours and learning opps, not concerned about salary) Not looking to work long term in both and would likely want to transition into an FP&A role in the future. Hoping to jump directly but require modelling experience.

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.
