Hey Fishbowlers! I just received an off from Dell for a Technical Content Developer 2 position. Fully remote, 5% bonus, 10k sign on bonus, $76,500K base pay. I have 3 year of experience in technical writing. BS in Com and MS in Eng Management. Is the offer good for position and my experience?

Also ask up front how long your supervising partner thinks it should take. Having those guidelines has helped me a lot.
Delegate. Figure out what you do well and quickly and keep that. Delegate the rest and manage the process and outcomes. Bill for your review rather than billing for the full assignment.
Or, chunk your work descriptions into smaller amounts and give more meaning to each line item. Instead of “reviewed and analyzed case law and incorporated into Motion for Summary Judge” at 4.3 hours, do:
Review and analyze [your State] case law RE: fiduciary duty owed to patrons under dram shop rules in preparation for incorporating same into Motion to Dismiss. .3
Review and analyze [your state] statute RE: disorderly conduct and incorporate same into Motion to Dismiss RE: contributory negligence .3
Review and analyze surveillance footage outside of bar and isolate portions of same and incorporate into Motion to Dismiss RE: no duty to warn when behavior occurs off premises. .3
Review and analyze deposition of ___ and identify sections relevant to Motion to Dismiss RE: duty satisfied when reasonable effort undertaken to encourage former patron to use means other that driving home
Thank you! This is helpful advice, particularly breaking billing into small, meaningful descriptions.
