I civilly discussed the First Amendment until D2 threadjacked me to claim I’m a liar, and then I civilly discussed how D2 made a lot of wrong and ignorant assumptions about me.
It’s known that most Tech bosses lean left but given that Twitter is a company not a utility, that’s there prerogative. If you don’t like it, don’t you start a right wing Twitter and use that for Trump stuff?

Because as an ex-journalist I know the Trump tax story was fully vetted, and backed by documentation. The Giuliani NY Post fiasco? Nope.
I am willing to acknowledge that facts lean left, whereas the right tends to propagate lies and propaganda.
The problem is, that it is in the best interest of corporations who serve as a communication platform to censor deliberate lies and propaganda.
People will flock away from a communication tool if what is shared there is junk and tabloid news and nothing of value or substance. This is why places like 4chan are the ahole of the internet and not a mainstream platform.
I will recognize that it helps the democratic party when communication platforms act in their best interested to get rid of false and junk information being pushed as true.
This is not necessarily the platforms being in bed with Democrats, but both groups benefitting from realiable and truthful communication.

First of all, Tim Pool? Really?
Second of all, I don’t love the idea that tech companies can unilaterally decide what’s true and what isn’t, but conservatives complaining that their clearly fake story that they held onto until it was politically convenient is getting treated as the very BS it is don’t come off very genuine.
It’s not “cheating” to tell lies and say stupid things. It’s called freedom of speech.
I would hope “the government didn’t censor the news”, that would be a violation of freedom of speech. Social media platforms can remove whatever they don’t like, it is their right to freedom of speech.(assuming they stated it in their agreement with users)

So the idea was - if Trump was as good with economy as he said big tech would’ve supported him as they are just regular billionaires. And since they are not supporting him, something is clearly wrong with his economy ideas, since big tech is smarter than Trump. Hence, surprise surprise.

Notice how it’s only the NY Post putting this information out, the other news outlets know this is bunk and cannot vouch for it.
