Traffic will be Terrible as other user stated. Why west Cobb versus Smyrna or Vinings?
The house is a unicorn for us! Amazing layout, neighborhood, etc. We’ve also seen fantastic houses in Vinings, but from what we have found, the schools are not great. We have our first kid due in August and may have a second at some point.

Have fun with traffic if you need to go into the city everyday. Also you’ll be bored out of your mind if you don’t have kids imo
What Manager 3 said!! , not sure if you can get on the waitlist before your kid is born, but we enrolled when my wife was 6 months pregnant , got in finally when my kid was 9 months old. Obviously were off topic to what you asked, but the a little apron academy (THD daycare) is worth it and it’s subsidized so pricing is 40% less than comparable daycare.
As others have said—you are near Barrett parkway and traffic is pretty bad there almost all of the time. But—I do think there’s plenty to do—you are close to Kennesaw and Marietta square, both have breweries and you’ll be close to Kennesaw mountain which has great hiking. So I don’t think you’ll be bored. I have lived in Woodstock since my late 30’s. I’m 50 now—but I was never bored in my 30’s and this area was not anywhere as built out back then as it is now.
Marietta is nice, but I prefer Dunwoody. :)
Marietta is lovely. Lots of money has moved into the area recently. You’ll be right by Kennesaw mountain if you’re into hiking. Square has seen a renaissance the past 10 years. Lots of things to do around town.
Marietta is great! You will love it. The square is awesome. Traffic on that road is horrible, but do able.
I live not too far from there (closer to Marietta square). We’ve loved it overall but you’re going to hate life trying to get to 75 from there in the mornings and evening …. It’s bad like… really bad.
Outside of that - strongly recommend the area at least closer to Marietta! (Dallas highway area gets rural pretty quick)
That is amazing. I love that area personally but like others said the traffic does get a little backed up in that area. I work from home though so I never minded it when I lived over there. Hope everything works out with getting the house.
