McKinsey & Company Hi everyone. Hope all is well.
Recently took the McKinsey & Company game (not sure if I have an interview yet but preparing nonetheless). It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. (I’m located in Sydney, Australia).
You got it, Boss!

My IVF doctor was in NYC and I live halfway across the country. We did in between visits locally with a clinic that was willing to work with us and our main doctor. Then we flew to NYC for the transfer. We flew back 3 days later and now we have our perfect twins. I recommend asking your doctor how they manage long distance patients and then also shop around with local clinics. It was a hassle but we made it work. The local clinic was amazing about it. Good luck!!
This sounds like a good in-between solution for us. For the in-between visits, do these consist basically of ultrasounds and blood tests where the local clinic would send the results to your main doctor?
Good advice on asking the doctor how they handle long-distance patients and just getting their read of the situation.
I would choose to fly for the transfer versus having the embryo transferred. FWIW I flew the night of my transfer and it was successful.

My friend did this and didn’t want to change doctors. Her doctor was in Maryland and she moved to Seattle. She ended up getting pregnant after 2 rounds. I think it’s feasible as long as you work with your doctor for where you will go for monitoring appts.
They have agencies who transfer embryos from place to place - I’ve used cryoport in past but I’m sure there are many other. They do charge a significant sum to transport though.
For taking the flight after i think there isn't a restriction, but you may just want to lay low and take it easy the day of - book a hotel room.
The other option is to do a medicated cycle of frozen embryo transfer, where the doctors can time the transfer so she can choose a suitable day e.g. Friday or Saturday.
Thank you! Will definitely ask about the medicated cycle. I think our doc mentioned this but will confirm.
We had issues with our first clinic and transferred embryos to our current clinic. It wasn’t cheap, but not as expensive as I had feared. Our current clinic has handled most of the logistics and it seems like a situation they deal with often.
Thank you for the perspectives everyone!
