Why are you freezing if you want to conceive within a year if you don’t mind me asking?
AFAIK and have seen with friends, it takes a varying amount of time for cycles to become more balanced and predictable. Some right away. Some a year later. Not sure if that’s as relevant to egg freezing as they would be verifying with ultrasounds and what not no?

Assuming you're trying to have kids with the same partners sperm, like M1 mentioned - you'll have better results freezing embryos than freezing eggs.

However early your OB or RE says. I’d get their advice on timing things.
If you aren’t taking prenatal vitamins or if your nutrition needs improvement, that’s at least a few months to get best results.
It takes three months for your egg quality to improve post you take prenatal / folic acid etc. So apart from your cycle etc. consider this as well. In my IVF, we had 17 eggs but only two embryos because egg quality is bad. So critical to focus on improving egg quality.
I had to be off birth control for at least 2 cycles..
It took me 1.5 years of seeing an RE and for my body to adjust coming off of birth control. It's really different for everyone and not something my husband and I expected to be one of our hurdles when we began planning for a family. With that said, I have friends who came off bc and were immediately ready with zero complications resulting from bc and have beautiful healthy babies now, one of which is an IVF baby. Definitely start by seeing an RE, getting all the tests done, begin taking daily prenatals and eat a healthy diet right away as these things can take months to see results. I also recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility as it gives a lot of great information on how the body works and how different medications and fertility procedures work. For context I'm in my early 30s and was on bc for about 10 years. I will never go back on it after experiencing the effects it had on my body.
This is super helpful! Thank you!! :) happy holidays!
