Might help you go client-side. Many brand managers are MBAs (and are focused way more on the business than the creative.)
If you’ve got it, people will see it, not a piece of paper or three little letters by your name.
I’d save my money and time by pursuing real work experience with the goal of being exceptional at what you do.
Yes and… I’d see if there are limits to what you can learn on the job. When I was agency-side, I didn’t have a lot of client-facing opportunities. And we were so siloed that I missed out on a lot of business basics like managerial economics, finance, etc. B-school won’t equal an instant pay bump or promo, but it can fill gaps that some have found difficult to learn on the job. And those can help you ascend to management.
My friend (who works in house for a brand) got an MBA and it hasn’t helped him find a new job or help much with salary. Buuuut I’m sure there are many factors at play here. Tbh I’m not sure anyone cares about MBAs anymore?
