But all of sudden got mail from hr saying that my profile is kept on hold. Any possibility that I will receive offer letter or it will be in hold forever? Meantime can I attend interview for other positions in hcl?

I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.

Terrible and unnecessary
hold the date/time. it’s like saying “pencil” me in but not with ink (you can’t erase ink). usually done for a meeting/call.. or a project start date through end date (for freelancers).
tip: say you’ll hold, but you also have another hold at the day day/time.
why: because now they are more inclined to work fast to get you a solid answer
Say yes but keep looking elsewhere until someone commits. I’ve had holds drag out to no opportunities, meanwhile I’ve not pursued other things.
Holds are completely disrespectful of workers in my opinion. You either hire or you don’t. I’ve done them but in the future will treat them differently, with less importance.
Look out after yourself just as they always do for themselves.

There is no downside to a hold.
