No.
If someone is voting Republican it tells me they disregard my right for bodily autonomy. It tells me they are short-sighted and don't understand the benefit of international investment like USAID, both in terms of the impact to the US and people who might otherwise be suffering. It tells me they lack empathy towards anyone who's an other, such as trans people, as they look to take away their rights. It tells me they don't understand how tariffs work and why it's disastrous for our economy. The list goes on.
My core values include empathy, respect and education (including actual research, not just internet searches), and anyone who's conservative is clearly stating that their values don't align to mine.
And I would date someone if our political views didn't match up
Lol @ these responses. Imagine your entire persona/personality being your political party affiliation, so much so that someone having a different opinion than you bans them from being a great husband/wife lol.
This is typically a US phenomenon, btw, other parts of the world have an enough fulfilled and diverse life that they understand politics is only one aspect of it. Not to mention both dems and republicans play this game where they're just really polarizing you guys, while most of them really don't believe in what they say anyway. See how fast some of the people calling Trump Hitler went down to Mar-a-lago to kiss the ring as soon as he got elected? Or how the same policies they said they wanted to do somehow becomes bad when it's Trump who says it? Or how fast republicans abandoned their boner for free speech when it comes to Palestinian protesters?
Those guys know they are playing the game of politics. That's their job. Heck, sometimes you'll see republicans strategists/lobbyists marry democrats ones. What's sad is the masses who don't realize this, and internalize this polarisation so much that they actively let it consume their entire lives, let alone run their dating lives. While the people who plant these polarizing seeds know that's just how the game is played.
There are indeed problems with both. Maybe the problem is a lot bigger.
Depends on how stuck up are you and them about politics.
If she’s pretty, yes.
Potentially - if the dialogue is healthy and respectful I could.

No, never would date a Dem since the women basically look like men 👀

lol well we all know what you look like now SPM1. No need to get angry about it.
I could date if we had different views on some issues. But I could never date someone who voted for DT after 2016. Within the next 9-12 months, we will hit a huge recession or possible economic depression due to his policies and he will do nothing to get us out of the economic crash
She’s screaming oh god, and I’m an Atheist; doesn’t stopping us from loving each other.
Yes. I believe we could hold differing political views and still respect each other.
Yes, as long as they are rational.
It depends if they’re rational about it and not coming from a place of hate
It depends. I probably would not, but I’d like to hear their perspective and reasoning
Short term dating, sure.
Anything with a commitment, no.
If she doesn't hold back on other things, yeah
In this political climate, absolutely not
