Yesterday at the warehouse, a customer stormed in demanding a “missing pallet.” After ten minutes of searching, I found it—still on his truck from yesterday’s pickup. I showed him the GPS scan, and he blinked, dead serious, and said, “Well… it didn’t feel like it was there.” I didn’t even know how to respond to that level of confidence. Ever had a customer so sure they were right, you started doubting your own reality?

A lot of customers tend to come in hot, that’s for sure. Weird things happen, so I will usually give the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes the plain answer is that they were wrong and you were right.

Wow! That was an another level of confidence. When people figure out they were wrong, they actually feel embarrassed but they don't have guts to accept that. So, they try to cover that up and find a way to put the blame on the next person.

Should I get a CPA for Transaction Due Diligence?
I’m a new grad working in FDD and I’m trying to decide if becoming a CPA is worth it. I do not plan on staying in accounting in the future. I’m more interested in strategy work. Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
