I’m in the same boat. East coast, capital markets. I’m exhausted. I keep thinking it has to get better, but I’ve been telling myself that since April...
I’m near 2200 and hate life, but don’t worry, my firm couldn’t care less
Dying in M&A over here! Reconsidering my career.
I just pulled my 3rd all nighter in 2 weeks. Im not in undergrad anymore, and I can't do this anymore. I'm dieing.
Yup right there with you, east coast life sciences group (very cap markets heavy though). This has been the worst year end I’ve ever had.
Nope! I'm at a peer firm doing more or less the same practice area and things have been as crazy as you describe (finally starting to slow down for me now).
You are not alone. Busiest year end of my entire career. Chicago, finance.
Dying in real estate
Texas boutique
I hear you.
East coast investment management AML. Dying. Close to 100 hours a week for the past month. Genuinely thinking of leaving the firm and taking something with lower pay but some relief.
Say hi to Ben Potter for me! He's great.
Busy, m&a in Texas. Side question - do you have a secretary that answers your calls or do your clients call you directly? I like being their point of contact, but it can be inefficient when working on other deadlines.
A secretary lol. No. We have a pool of staff that we have to go through a coordinator to get to so you can't even train them. Totally pointless. I can barely get closing sets made.
