Yesterday I purchased an overseas flight from United but it’s operated by Lufthansa. Today I looked and Lufthansa has one seat left for my itinerary. The flight is in December and I will likely want to bid on an upgrade. Should I cancel and rebook with Lufthansa to increase my odds of my upgrade being accepted? And am I even able to bid on an upgrade via United? I have about 10 hours to make this decision since I can cancel without penalty within 24 hours of purchasing. Thx!

My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.
