How can I expand my network to the VC world? I know hanging around Silicon Valley is a great start but I’m trying to find a more direct approach, willing to travel. Any thoughts?

28M. First time solo travel 3 week trip to Spain coming up. Flying Royal Air Maroc from US. They’re allowing 2 check in bags and 1 carry on. However, I want to travel light and am trying to avoid check in bags completely. What carry on backpacks do you recommend to buy that would be enough for 3 week trip but also be allowed as a carry on? Also need to buy packing cubes.
