Does anyone have any ideas how to teach ESL students online, especially Newcomers and non-proficient ELs?

I teach beginning elementary ELs. As we prepare for remote teaching, the administration doesn’t plan to distribute any technology. How to I help families and non readers access activities?!?

I teach first grade at a Spanish-English bilingual school with Spanish as the primary language for most. Waffles are some good reading fluency building ideas and activities for English learners?

Good anchor novels to read with middle school newcomers? I need something high interest and timely, yet still accessible.

Any resources or websites available to help my ESOL students learned biology? It is taxing for students who speak English, I want my ESOL students to have a fighting chance.

Forgive me if this has already been addressed, but how do you handle teaching a student in an EOC course who does not speak any English? I feel like it is cruel to have them take an EOC in English.

I have Newcomers and push in to content classes. The teachers seem like we are just a hassle and like they shouldn't be responsible for teaching ESL students.

What are the different ways that you prep for WIDA? I'm having the kids use Flipgrip to practice the speaking portion. Any ideas for good prompts?

I just got a new student who was placed in 6th grade. However, based on her age and schooling, she should be in 7th. I talked to her and she agrees. Have you ever advocated for a student to be placed in a differnt grade?
