Visual Storyteller

Finally tried the Trimbach regular Gewurz. Slightly disappointing and can’t hold a candle to the regular Zind-Humbrecht (it’s the bomb outside GC or cuvée) and not even close to their Cuvée Des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre. Having said that, appreciate the classic dry Alsatian style of rose petals and lychee without the residual sugar. Couldn’t find a tech spec but I would guess 3-5/g per liter

An open bottle a week in the fridge usually comes out astringent but this Dolcetto actually tasted more balanced after being overly acidic and a bit tight. Nice blueberry notes and more balance over time

Enjoyable wine from the Valtellina region of Lombardy. Made from the Chiavennasca grape (known in Piedmont as Nebbiolo) this Superiore wine was aged for six years in oak prior to bottling. Strong notes of sweet cherries with secondary notes of roses, dark chocolate, and coffee.
