I am relatively new to the wine scene. I have been more of scotch guy. Starting diving into wine two years ago. Definitely red wine guy. How ever when I drink some wines I get stuffy nose and that turns me off. I found few wines like Prisoner or Austin Hope which are both cabs that are wonderful and have no reaction to my sinus.

Anyone can tell me wines that are similar to above and same price range? Or why I have issues after drinking most wines? Thank you!

Reddit wine is my go to posting project

You’ll likely appreciate Belle Glos and Caymus

Caymus used to be my fav but it still gives me sinus issues. Unfortunately Austin Hope knocked Caymus out

Wine is a acquired taste in your tastes may change as you continue to enjoy it. It almost sounds to me like you’re having an allergic reaction to something tannins, acidity, etc. But if you have capability in your area where you live, especially if it stateside definitely if it’s overseas I’m assuming your state side because of the wines you listed.
You want to try to get into a few tastings if you haven’t prior. Getting in with a professional and other people like you is a lot of fun, but it also really opens your mind in your pallet to other tastes, other wines, other ways to experience it.

To all the post-9/11 veterans, it’s a somber day that unites us all in the reason we fought. Big fan of this one. Not super bold. More velvety. Subtle leathery taste, hints of vanilla! I picked up a half case for 120, or $20 a bottle! I may actually buy more. 8/10 for price and taste. Very elegant.

I am looking for wine decanter tags that are writable. I’d like to find a vintage looking silver option, but they all require engraving. I’m looking for something writable that I can change the label on when I host wine parties and I have a couple decanters on the table. Anyone have something similar and can share a link with me? I’m struggling to find anything that will work, other than writing on clear tape with a sharpie marker 😐

I keep getting sour wines. I’ve never had this issue before but the last few bottles I got (store shelf, nothing too fancy) tasted like they were opened and left out. That gross stale sort of sour taste… but the cork was in tight and sealed. 🧐

I'm looking for wine recommendations as a bourbon drinker. I'm a regular to barrel proof bourbons (120+ proof) and did a few red wines tonight but was expecting more. I'm hoping to find a red that is more full tasting or has a more pronounced finish.

Looking to buy 2 bottles for ~$200. Typically drink red and am always between Napa Cabs and Chateauneuf du Pape. What should I get?

Small family winery in Napa. This is bit of a kitchen sink, but predominantly Cab & Merlot. It’s a good value buy.
