Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

Honestly, I wouldn’t try it. Even if you find one you like, it may cause you to slip.
Congrats on completing the program and good luck
My mom is a recovering alcoholic and we make the drinks really cute in wine glasses but non-alcoholic. For example: a lime, ice, basil with Perrier and alittle fruit punch or soda. Maybe even some cute little umbrellas will help
Best non-alcoholic wine? Water. Cold, crisp, fresh, pure water. Best thing for you. Good luck!
I know it wasn't, but I'm just trying to help you out. The holiday season is tough. I do know someone who buys really high end grape juice - I forget the brand but you can get it at Whole Foods - he mixes it with tonic or soda water and says it tastes like wine.
Curious for your perspective, there are ways to make wine the traditional way and then strip the alcohol afterward, but it leaves ~.5% abv.
Would this consitute an NA wine, or does it need to be absolute zero? I see variation with the beers being 0.0 or up to .5% like atheletic.
I dont know of any good NA wines, but I have access to a facility and have been kicking around the idea of doing this. I used to make wine professionally.
Freixenet (Spanish cava, etc.) makes a drinkable alcohol removed sparkling wine.
I don’t know the specifics beyond that or if bitters are also a no go for you (opinions vary because they’re alcohol based).
Bitters probably no for me.
Oddbird Blanc de Blancs was our go to non-alcoholic sparkling "wine" during my girlfriend's pregnancy. The taste is actually good compared to other non-alcoholic wines.
Don't know about international availability but Empress makes decent and interesting non-alcoholic wine alternatives.
The non alcoholic wines seem to have artificial sweeteners and things like that in them and so whilst I enjoy them for entirely different reasons, I almost don’t feel like I’m participating in the experience of wine.
You’re better off considering mocktails. You have so much more scope there to make something enjoyable. Also, there are alcohol free cocktails than contain herbal mixtures etc that can have a similar effect to that relaxing or buzz effect from a first drink or second drink. It’s not the same, and it peaks out meaning you literally wouldn’t get drunk so it’s a different experience in the same way caffeine is not alcohol.
Only do what you’re comfortable with though and works in a way that doesn’t compromise your goals.
Thanks! There are a lot more options than I thought. Kratom is something I’ve discovered. I like the medicinal taste to it.

I would stick to wine but avoid other forms of alcohol
