Winter Sports Ski & Snowboard
Anyone out in Park City this weekend? Flying out today and my bff bailed on me for work stuff. Just looking for ski company or drinking buddy!
Is it easy for you to find people to do a local weeknd ski trip with? A lot of people in the 20-30’s demographic say they want to go skiing and have no one to go with
NYC/NJ skiers and riders - I am joining a ski club, Miramar, up to sugar bush & Killington this weekend (feb 21). Second time going with them - they are organized and professional. Join if free!
Has anyone driven between big sky and Jackson hole in the winter? Trying to figure out if my rental car needs to have 4x4 or if just “intermediate SUV” is okay
Do I absolutely need the special snow tires to drive up to Whistler? Like will they turn me around? Or is that just a recommendation?
I started an Ikon Pass bowl here - I think the Ikon Pass FB group can be helpful, so thought it might be helpful for this group too! https://joinfishbowl.com/bowl_uebktz
Got to train on an indoor ski treadmill today! Was very cool and great for getting coached. (Not me in the photo)
I saw this in the Ikon Pass Facebook group and wanted to share here since we all clearly “work hard/ski hard” They’re looking for input for their blog: https://www.workhardskihard.com/for-the-love-of-skiing/
Still making the most of it the last few days here at Snowshoe WV, despite a high of 56 yesterday, torrential rains all night, and high of 45 and full sun today. Getting in those turns!
Anyone in this bowl struggle with fear of steepness / speed? I’m a strong intermediate skier but having a hard time getting to the next level.. (cont)
Snow here is crazy. Never not been able to differentiate the ground from a wall of snow but I did manage to grab a pic of the Matterhorn in between storms
Just booked a trip to Denver from 12/18 to 12/24. Anyone else want to connect for a few laps? I have IKON, happy to ski whatever, prefer not to wait too long on a pow day.
Just got the ikon pass...I always ski east coast but hoping to get to Utah one weekend. What is the best/closest mountain from SLC?
Looking to sneak 2 days in first weekend of December with my wife. What would be the preference if you had to pick between Abasin or Loveland?
