Is Amex really worth it? My wife has a platinum card, and I have a Gold card - mostly because we used to travel a lot for work, but this has changed since COVID. Amex is increasing platinum fees to $675 a year, which would normally be a lot, but even more so when we're not using airline lounges, Uber kickbacks, travel perks, etc. nearly as much as we used to.
“We deeply value the loyalty you have placed with us by purchasing one of our pass products and we are committed to identifying an approach that acknowledges this past season and retains your loyalty for the future. I ask for your continued patience and understanding as we remain focused on the real-time challenges that COVID-19 is currently presenting to our employees, our communities and our company. And with many different pass products, we want to ensure that any action takes into consideration all of our pass holders.
We intend to reach back out to you with more information by the end of April. In the meantime, we are deferring all auto-renew charges and all spring deadlines for Buddy Tickets into May.”
Seems likely they will do something
Pretty happy with the solution and the communication is fantastic
Eh maybe a free cookie if you’re lucky. Where else are you gonna ski at in the future?
Fair point. I guess I’m glad/lucky I got 8 days in this season and feel for people who bought a pass and couldn’t go at all. (Folks who got a pass for spring break skiing)
Ikon just announced pass renewal discounts. I’m assuming epic will follow with some sort of discounts shortly
Fingers crossed that we get an early start to the season this year!
Not sure about ikon since I use epic. But epic gave back 20% of my pass last season and free insurance for this season.
I’m assuming ikon is doing something similar
More likely a discount or added perks for next year
