I have skied for a long time. I used to get really anxious trying to chase storms. When will it dump? Where? Will I be able to clear my schedule and go? Who will go with me? It was a huge waste of time.
I finally figured out that for me it is a numbers game. If I want good days, I need a lot of days. If I am not working a day between Thanksgiving and end of March I am skiing. I work remote, so during slower times like the holidays or Fridays I can get away with some skiing on days that I work. Not ever day is a full whistle to whistle day, but the powder days are. With the heavy frequency of skiing, I always have friends on the mountain and am always in shape to ski. So the powder days are a lot more fun.
I am in Denver, and have a place in the hills. I have been skiing frequently for 20 years and the kids compete. I generally see friends on the mountain when I am up there. Keep skiing and always spreading the stoke and you will have a ton of friends up there also.

Completely agree. I’m looking forward to this year.
