I know you’re looking at Colorado. But salt lake and park city would give you a ton of options, all relatively close to each other. And you have an airport close by along with almost all amenities.
Park City, Cottonwood Heights or Sugar House. Cottonwood heights is right next to the canyons (Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta). Sugar House is a cool “hip” area right next to Cottonwood Heights. Sugar House is also a trendier area that is very LGBTQ friendly. Park City is your traditional ski town, more expensive than the other two but if you have an Epic pass then Park City Mountain Resort is your spot to go to.
Park City is a great option in Utah that will put you very close to skiing and in a generally cool town. To the CO question, though, if I were picking a town to do what you’ve outlined it would be Winter Park.
You’re living the life I dream about.
Second SLC especially Sugar House area. If you’re on ikon it’s a short drive to Brighton, solitude, and Alta Snowbird. We spent 3 weeks there last year and had a blast.... likely to repeat this year if not longer! 🎿
I’m not that familiar with that area, but SLC isn’t that big - I’m sure you’ll have a great time!
