I know you’re looking at Colorado. But salt lake and park city would give you a ton of options, all relatively close to each other. And you have an airport close by along with almost all amenities.

like

Park City, Cottonwood Heights or Sugar House. Cottonwood heights is right next to the canyons (Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Alta). Sugar House is a cool “hip” area right next to Cottonwood Heights. Sugar House is also a trendier area that is very LGBTQ friendly. Park City is your traditional ski town, more expensive than the other two but if you have an Epic pass then Park City Mountain Resort is your spot to go to.

like

Park City is a great option in Utah that will put you very close to skiing and in a generally cool town. To the CO question, though, if I were picking a town to do what you’ve outlined it would be Winter Park.

You’re living the life I dream about.

Second SLC especially Sugar House area. If you’re on ikon it’s a short drive to Brighton, solitude, and Alta Snowbird. We spent 3 weeks there last year and had a blast.... likely to repeat this year if not longer! 🎿

I’m not that familiar with that area, but SLC isn’t that big - I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

I’m currently in the early process of interviewing with Airbnb (base pay ~100k. Regular Analyst role) but just got an offer from an early stage startup (base pay ~120k. Manager role). They want me to decide by tomorrow but my hiring manager interview with Airbnb is Monday (interviewer wasnt available this week). What should I do? What would you consider when deciding between startup or an established company like Airbnb? (Both roles are fully remote, similar paid time offs policy)

Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg. I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

Salary deducted even after completing notice period citing hybrid work policy? My past employer has deducted 28 days salary of 2 months, by citing mandatory Work From Office (Hybrid model) during notice period of 3 months. Severe lower back for reason for me resigning & WFH Company unfairly allows some employees to WFH. Even contract employees WFH. I served full notice period & completed all my assigned work. I have records of tickets, work completed too. Should I approach labour court?

Does anyone work or previously worked for SignalLamp Health as a care manager nurse? They’re fairly new as a company so it’s hard to find any reviews. It’s a work from home job and I’m weary about pay, nurse duties, benefits, etc.

Curious others thoughts. I have a portion of my portfolio in crypto and it has drifted significantly trying to decide if I should keep it all in there or I can pay down a debt with a VAR up to 7.5% interest rates. Thoughts? Seems like a guaranteed 7.5% pay down on some of the drift would be a power move

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?

Asking for another suggestion. As i mentioned in my other post I just started a new job 2 months ago. I don’t know what are my rights and how I should approach this. They already called a company to come to spray something but I just don’t feel comfortable working there. I have asked if I can work from home until they find a different location but my manager said no.

Renter tip: if you landlord/management company won’t fix things fast enough, threaten to file a violation with the DCRA. The Office of the Tenant Advocate told me to do this and my issue was fixed that day, after the company had been dragging their feet for months on it. I guess they fine them thousands of dollars a day so it scares them into action.
