Is anyone else dealing with that classic spring antsiness right now? My second graders have been great, but they're really starting to lose it lately. It feels like we're backtracking on basic classroom management! I'm trying everything, revisiting our early rules, planning a seating chart switch, but I'm still struggling to keep them focused. I know this happens every year as summer gets closer, but what are your best tips or tricks for keeping the classroom manageable?

Carti-G! One of our Behavior Interventionists (BI( came up with the idea to reward students. Each week the grade level teachers (6th-8th, Sped/RATS) have a turn at nominating one of their classes to get a reward. That class and the teacher get to pick something off of the cart. This week was SPED & RATS! My class that got the reward was over the top with excitement. Do you have BIs, and what do they do to help with or motivate good behavior?
