So much chaos in the world... but this made me smile. I always love seeing my "kids" when I'm out and about, or home from college. Just the other day, I bumped into a student I taught in third grade, and now they’re in college studying to be a teacher! It was such a full-circle moment that made me so proud and hopeful for the future. Does anyone else get a little boost of hope for the future whenever they hear about or unexpectedly run into a former student doing well?

This picture is from Ripple Effect Discipline and Leonard Webb, and the truth is so profound. Every teacher, every student, and every staff members could tell a story! I don't always know the story, but as a teacher if I could remember this simple truth, I would probably approach things a little differently. That student who lashes out at us, may be reacting to something else going on on in his/her life. How do you remember this, yet still guide your students toward success?
